[But when they leave the kitchen, there is unmistakeably, bleeding all over the carpet, a dead body of a man--fresh, since he's still bleeding sluggishly. It's not anyone Mikado knows, though he does stall in the doorway, making a sort of strangled noise of surprise and horror at what's right before his eyes.]

[And yet. Despite his real horror and fear, there's another emotion in his heart and perhaps in his eyes as well. Hiding, waiting, is a sort of excitement and joy. It's inappropriate to feel in the face of this scene, and so he doesn't display it, but this development is definitely different, definitely abnormal.]
