[Today is a terrible day! You do not know why it's a terrible day, but it is. Everything's ominous and you've probably walked into ten tables and door frames and couldn't find your favorite coat and perhaps even got robbed by a hobo. Either way, your luck is terrible! Enjoy it! Or not. Because it'll get worse.
Meanwhile in Michi's residence, a corpse has disappeared. Corpses do not usually get up and wander away. This one did and is found standing in the middle of the street staring at nothing. It is almost as terrible as your day is, and you simultaneously run away and get closer.
Both of these are terrible ideas, but there is no correlation between them whatsoever. You're silly to think that way! Go enjoy your terrible day! However you wish to.
But no really, to anyone who comes over there is nothing but terrible here. And up to three bingo squares. Have fun guys.]

He's aware. He, erm...
Because you lied so seriously, he feels as if you're the sort of person that is capable of such a thing. I did attempt to persuade him otherwise. You aren't that sort of person, and you have no romantic or sexual interest in me, besides!
We're only friends.

[The tone is put-off and vaguely insulted. Rolling that sentence over a few times, that means he has morals. That's a hundred kinds of amazing and worth psychological research, but he derails the thought a moment later from prodding his breakfast.]
...Yeah. [Oh god he conceded to friends again screeeech-] Sorry for making you deal with that.
no subject
["You aren't a bad person" dies premature, before even reaching her tongue. It's just her pet theory, based on her opinions and what she's seen.
But she's barely seen anything yet. It can wait.]
Did you get what you wanted?
no subject
It should be an easy 'yes'. But this wasn't done for his sake in the first place. It was hers. Theirs. And he's going to fail. Die for it probably. And Ajimu said she wouldn't save him when she used her
Lip Service
why does she even call it that it's the worst skill name ever kljgljalga--staring at nothing again with a glare.] Yes.
no subject
[Even though he'll do it anyway, she thinks. Because she doesn't think he's a bad person.
And because she's weak and useless and can't do anything but endure. Always making someone worry.]
I am happy to see you succeed, of course, so it is more than acceptable for me to make sacrifices in order for that to happen! I like you, Kumagawa!
no subject
[Shut up Michi's brackets, eventually you'll realize it's not her being weak and useless, but him being dumb about wanting to protect his posse.
And her going back into positive thinking at least means that moment of tsundokis over Ajimu goes right back into deadpan.] Who said I'm succeeding?
no subject
But you can't give up because that's even scarier.]
You did! You've gotten what you wanted. That does constitute a success, doesn't it?
no subject
Either way, he can be a loser without giving up. And the question gets a blank stare. It isn't what he wanted. It's what they wanted. What They wanted. And that's fine. Maybe he'll get what he wants someday. What She wants.
Normally he's better at lying. Perhaps having his personality snapped like this means his smiles are nowhere near as convincing as usual.] Yeah, I guess.
no subject
[But she knows by now there's no point in starting an argument.]
... I'm sorry.
Are you feeling better?
no subject
[But it's all she's getting, going by the stare she gets. It breaks with a sigh and a faint smile. Only slightly more alive than the last one.]
Hah... Don't apologize. I'm fine.
no subject
You said that you weren't hungry, but you also --
[Fffrowning, she doesn't really want to say it but it proves her point but she sort of wants to forget about that for right now -]
-- said that you hated me. Although you're speaking with a more sincere tone, you are still lying.
no subject
I'm not lying.
no subject
But she turns her head away anyway. She doesn't want to look at him. Seeing his face reminds her of being hated and he makes her want to cry again. Emotions are hard. Where's the off switch? If she kills him, will that turn the feelings off?
She just. Pushes her plate aside and lies her head down sideways, on the table. The wood is pretty and polished and cold to the touch, but it doesn't really help.]
Do you like the scarf that I gave you? My knitting has improved since then.
no subject
This is why he's afraid of making her take a second bookmaker. Because she would read those above words. As of now, the only change is that his hands are folded in the table. The knuckles are locked into a pure white anxiety.] Yes. I still have it. It was well made for a beginner.
no subject
She's just. Going to close her eyes. It's like trying to cover gaping holes in a leaky bottle, but you've only got two hands. There's only so much you can do.]
It was awful.
I want to make a better one. I want to buy green yarn and make one for Mr Liam as well. And yellow yarn for Christopher.
no subject
Standing immediately, perfectly composed. Yes. Need to get back to work. Yes. Can't be a villain with feels.]
I'm sure you'll do fine. Excuse me. I- ['Have'. The word kind of cracks on the syllable, but he forces through it anyway-] have to get back. Good day, Michi.
[FLEE FLEE FUCK THESE FEELINGS HE'S DONE HE QUITS BYE GUYS--Wait no, turn and walk out casually. Chill as ice, yo.]
no subject
The cracking, the polite speech. Even being "honest" it doesn't sound like him at all. There is something very, very wrong.
So she gets up. If he's not fast enough she'll be trying to cut him off. If he is, she'll just catch up.]
-- Where are you going?
no subject
I have a job to finish, Michi. Move.
[That last word is woven with his presence, like a command, strong enough to force a few thousand people to part like Moses' sea.
go break flee let him pass don't make him answer this again he's sorry just let him goStanding perfectly composed. Totally cool here.]no subject
But she just props herself up against the door.]
No!
-- Why are you running away from me? I'm not angry. I'm not angry with you. You are my friend. I like you. I am --
I -- don't know. I can't say for certain what is happening. Something is wrong with me. I don't know.
[As usual.]
But I don't hate you. I did tell you that when we first met. It is impossible for me to hate you. You and I are friends, so there isn't any need to run from me. Please don't run away from me! If I've upset you somehow, then I will do my best to right the situation, but --
[This is hard um
What would the real Michi say in this situation? The good one, who's cheerful all the time and doesn't have to deal with feelings or anything she hates she resents becoming this boy's friend sometimes she doesn't know what she's doing what is she supposed to do?]
... You've barely touched your breakfast. It's impolite to waste food, Kumagawa!
[Yes. Very smooth.]
no subject
I'm not running.
["It's my fault, not yours."]
Nothing's wrong with you.
["I can't admit this. I'm sorry."]
So relax. Okay?
[Crimson beads leave stains on Michi's floor. This is proof that they're both amazingly smooth at feels.]
no subject
Yes. Yes good. A distraction.]
... You're bleeding.
no subject
I'm fine.

[Don't be fooled Michi, he will be using the moment he's out of sight range to flee like a coward.]
no subject
I'll do it.
