[Today is a terrible day! You do not know why it's a terrible day, but it is. Everything's ominous and you've probably walked into ten tables and door frames and couldn't find your favorite coat and perhaps even got robbed by a hobo. Either way, your luck is terrible! Enjoy it! Or not. Because it'll get worse.
Meanwhile in Michi's residence, a corpse has disappeared. Corpses do not usually get up and wander away. This one did and is found standing in the middle of the street staring at nothing. It is almost as terrible as your day is, and you simultaneously run away and get closer.
Both of these are terrible ideas, but there is no correlation between them whatsoever. You're silly to think that way! Go enjoy your terrible day! However you wish to.
But no really, to anyone who comes over there is nothing but terrible here. And up to three bingo squares. Have fun guys.]

And so they will both explore the disease of friendship together and he will
try tostop making terrible offers to her.]Then it's all right.
no subject
Not the point of this anyway. She's Michi, ever
selfishlythoughtful, so she has to ask -]... Is that all right for you as well?
no subject
And her question gets a shrug. And he is totally
notbeing a kind person here.]I'm all right with it. But I still need to go through with this.
no subject
He's all right with her.
Luckily for him, there's a whole table between them, but if he watches, he can see her face just light up, the way it does when she gets excited and forgets he's not good at hugging.]
If you've gotten full, then please feel free to continue! I only wanted to be certain that you'd eaten.
no subject
Ah, I'm in no rush. My reason to care is gone. [~Charisma~ ...Wait no, charisma is hard when you're unmotivated, bluhhh.] These people like closure to their suffering. So someone can kill me, I guess.
[~*~BOREDOM~*~]
no subject
... Has something happened? You seemed so intent previously.
no subject
Hm? [Oh. The reason. Haha it's dumb so nope he has his reputation to keep. ...Okay no, it's just embarrassing.] I'm just a capricious person.
no subject
It hardly seems very much like you to reject an opportunity to cause suffering.

[Do you... want them to say thank you or something...]

[Normally, that flippant handwave means sparkles and charisma. Currently it has neither, but it still means he's kidding.]
no subject
[The little handwave means she actually catches it. Oh, okay. He doesn't literally want any money. She can joke too though! She, she has feelings and a sense of humor, she can do this!]
Father would be quite cross if he realized that I was using his money to pay you, so I suppose that a miniskirt will have to suffice!
[She can't keep a straight face when she says it, though. It cracks into a smile at the edges. It's ridiculous and it'll never happen, but he'd never go for it anyway.]
no subject
Besides, miniskirts are out of season. Naked aprons in a warm kitchen are better for the winter, hm?
[When he says everything in that odd deadpanned tone, Michi can now file it away that every time he says anything like that, it's an obvious joke. She can translate him yet!]
no subject
[She says it very matter-of-factly, like she's clarifying the time.]
-- In addition, that was a joke! I could never wear something so lacking!
no subject
More importantly, I know you were joking. You don't have to expose your cards so fast, Michi.
no subject
[It took her this long just to make friends. It'll never happen.
But she looks a little embarrassed at the second bit. Oops. :x]
-- Oh! Of course, I was aware that you knew! It was a test.
no subject
[For someone so blatantly negative and disgusting, hearing him understand something like love is pretty impressive.
It's Ajimu's fault. And her embarrassment is amusing, but he doesn't call her out on it.] I'm glad I passed. Next time make the test harder.
no subject
The idea of someone loving her romantically, not the idea of unconditional love. Her father hasn't thrown her out yet despite his best interests. She gets that.]
... I don't understand.
no subject
But that's for observer eyes only. Michi needs a more subtle word. And he closes his eyes and pictures someone else.]
It's hard to understand. Sometimes you don't even notice until later. But love... it's someone who accepts every part of you, even your bad traits, and you know everything about them back. Where even if they die, a part of your heart will always be reserved for them.
[He doesn't mention the parts where you start hallucinating them and they kick you into walls while making victory signs any time you ask for a favor. Let Michi learn about married life when she's the one doing the kicking.]
no subject
But yeah. Good luck, bless his heart. She purses her lips, thinking on this as hard as she possibly can -- she understands it. She understands love, and how people love each other. She loves her father and them. She loves Kumagawa, and Liam, and Christopher. Between Kumagawa and her father and her grandparents and the books in their library, she understands romantic love. Kumagawa loves Ajimu and her father loved her mother and her grandparents loved each other. Different from how she feels. It's a fine little line.
So it's... a possibility for someone else to love her, and for her to love someone else, like what they have? She hits a roadblock there. It doesn't make any sense. What idiot would waste their precious time and money courting this? There are hundreds of thousands of smarter, prettier, saner women out there.
So a little half-heartedly, even if she tries to hide it some of it seeps into her tone -]
Oh...! Yes, I see. That certainly does sound wonderful. It incorporates elements of friendships, but is even more intimate!
no subject
What I say here is never to be used against me. Okay?
[She's probably going to use it against him anyway. Stupid friends.] With that one person, your flaws 'become nothing'.
[Then there's another panel jump and he's back in his seat, hands steepled and perfectly deadpan.] But you're right. Sometimes the one you love is your closest friend.
no subject
-- I understand. But, I'm...
[A monster? An abomination against God? Something that shouldn't exist? All of the above?]
no subject
[Finished right after her hesitation, finishing the sentence easily. And the smile afterward is horrifying, subjectively, but is objectively completely honest.]
no subject
[Right. She said that herself. Christopher's as human as him or her. She meant it as a compliment.
.......... But she wasn't expecting it to be used against her like this, don't be a jerk, Kumagawa.]
... Yes.
I'll try...
no subject
You're a better optimist than me. You'll remember it.
