Hello hello hello!!! And welcome back to Emerald! Surely you missed it! The horrible memes where everyone hooked up while turning into monsters, cults building up and being destroyed, creating the internet a hundred years early, that time Chris did a genocide pretty much single-handed-

ANYWAY. So here's the deal! I don't even know what year it's supposed to be now like 1884?? Anyway first things first. Let's toss down some ideas.

So here's where you post what characters you're probably bringing, what ones you feel like NPCing a bit from ye olde events, what shit you'd like to stir up first, whatever. It'll give everyone a good feel of what they might be interested in bringing in and what we can jump into.



I'LL GO FIRST SINCE I'M POSTING THIS. Sup this is Kisha in an account I don't use I figure you know that but anyway. I'll probably be bringing Kido, Letty and/or Chelsy (Alicemare), A-ya and Junko? I'm pretty flexible though honestly. I'm also considering Rena, Lemina, ...Maybe even Pascal god I dunno. Or Garry.

NPCing/bringing our occasionally wise I'm good with doing anything. Erika would have stuck it out with Zelos, Lion would be running numerous charities by now, Minene is still living in a box bombing churches andddd I think that was it for super important things??

And plot wise god I am craving some body horror like no tomorrow and forced/trapped into horrible situations.

Hello...! I'm Kai, probably better known as Tiv's auntie, and I guess I should join the newbie train of being confused because idk what I'm doing either ヽ( ；▽； )ﾉ...

Currently, I'm thinking of bringing Kokonose Haruka from Kagerou project !! He's a cheerful dumb-dumb who couldn't read the mood to save his life, which should be fun in Emerald.

I'm also pppotentially considering another Nanase Haruka (Free!) and maybe an OC? but Kokonose Haruka is looking the most likely atm.

♥ Kenjirou poses as a physician for Haruka's family, who trust Kenjirou as a fellow Japanese in a strange place. They (Haruka included) are too careless to realize Kenjirou has been doing this and that, and has actually been making Haruka's condition worse . . . But otherwise, Haruka led a good life, and his parents do care for him very much. He's just uneasy about being such an emotional and financial strain on his family . . .

♥ There's a slightly more detailed version of his story here, but basically his parents spent his childhood alternating between trying to lose him and using him as a stress ball until they moved away without him. He was later found by someone, Hitori, he came to trust with all his being . . . Who later tricked him into committing double suicide . . . Only not, surprise! Hitori left Kazuaki to die, and by unfortunate chance Kazuaki's corpse was picked up with several others for experiments in alternative methods of revival.

As a result of the experiment and Kazuaki's natural predisposition toward hallucination and delusion even as a child, what remained of his sanity kind of had a wrecking ball slam into it and his body became unable to support his shape, and he became more of a parasite in his own flesh. He later finds at a honey den that, while honey doesn't work on him, sublimating people into himself is an effective counterbalance, by combating all the scary voices and sensations with nicer ones, who love him. They love him very much. They love the King very much.

♡ He lacks emotional brawn, though, and is very easily moved to tears . . . It might be better to say he's almost always crying or on the verge of it.
♡ But it's okay! He's resilient! He seems very determined to persevere undisturbed (hahahaha)
♡ He's kind of dumb and extremely gullible.
♡ Very lonely and paranoid; he wants friends but he doesn't trust others not to betray him.
♥ Kazuaki works as a freelance tutor for writing and literature! He's particularly talented in these, in both English and Japanese.
♥ He runs a small, out of the way honey den known as the Holiday Star which, due to the special kind of honey and its obscurity of location, has a few rumors floating about regarding it: that you can only find it if you're literally or metaphorically lost, and that the honey is twice as effective and longer lasting than normal honey.
♥ This is sort of true, but sort of not: the den can be found if you look for it intentionally, and it's not that the honey is more effective, but that Kazuaki has tampered with it so that it induces shared dreaming faster, and that you sleep for much longer.
♥ The dream people see is the true form of the Holiday Star: it's a painless, perfect paradise where Kazuaki, as the King of the Star, reigns as their gentle-hearted ruler. This dream is Kazuaki's, and because there are enough dreamers whose consciousnesses he's sublimated into his own and left pieces of himself in their bodies, he can keep the dream going even when he himself isn't asleep.

♥ GREETINGS MY FRIENDS I honestly don't have any specific plans in mind b u t I would super love to touch people. Kazuaki wants to be close to others but he's scared and his mental state is a constant trainwreck, so his solution is to sublimate people's phyical bodies or consciousnesses into himself, or to leave tiny parasites in others if he's interested in them but they don't seem likely to be repeat customers at his den (bc people who return to the Star often enough will eventually fall comatose). The parasite's affects can be both mental (the host can experience the mild effects to severe effects of being connected to Kazuaki's brainspace, which involves his hopes/wants/voice/nightmares/slowly affecting the character's mind/etc) and physical (pay no mind to the three eyes you just saw on your arm, all colors not your own. it's gone now, really.)

In terms of dreams, Kazuaki can wheedle and tempt your characters in their dreams -- either to stay with him forever in the Holiday Star dream, or to loosen inhibitions (because, it's okay to do whatever you want; when everyone turns on you, and the world refuses you, he'll be there for you, and only him), or whatever else -- but this would likely require your character to eat some of his honey or be infected by a parasite first. With the parasite option he can also induce custom nightmares too . . . I mean, if he dislikes you . . . for any reason . . . dont bully me

Nanase, Haruka Free! ❤ stripdown
Taken from early series (post episode four) for max canonmate confusion, Haruka is a loser who sucks at connecting with others and his only coping method is swimming/soaking in water. While somewhat asocial and aloof, Haruka doesn't actually dislike people and can be rather sensitive to what they need of him. But because he knows he has trouble with his dumb sentimental people feelings and has trouble turning them away if they wheedle hard enough, he tries to keep his distance from people so he doesn't get involved. Despite his sometimes prickly demeanor, though, he would never genuinely want to hurt someone.

More importantly, his sense of humor and taste buds are of great concern.

♥ Japanese teenage boy who will strip in the presence of any body of water large enough for him to soak in, whether it be a fish tank, fountain, or the Thames. He has a pretty good body ;D

♥ He's a talented artist and graceful swimmer.

♡ He will literally do anything if it means he can swim somewhere or get in the water
♡ He can be pretty aloof and deadpan, and can sometimes be pretty rude without remorse, but he's never malicious.

♡ He genuinely cares for people, even if he wishes he didn't.

Ritz Ainsworth emerald au ❤ makeshifts
♥ Ritz was isolated from society at a young age by his parents, and forbidden from leaving the house lest something become of him. This allowed him to develop a remarkable lack of empathy toward his peers, who seemed alien creatures to him, but he did not detest them. He took to making dolls at a young age to pass the time, and now, at seventeen, he runs a small toy store that specializes in selling plush toys and related accessories.

At fifteen he met a girl whom was the only person he'd ever loved, but she kind of wanted to take on all of London in her madness and at some point she disappeared. Considering how very mutually obsessed with each other by that point, a period of serious unwellness followed, but after years of no clues he's resolved to wait, unless there comes a reason for him to act again.
