[Shuffling. She flashes a sheepish smile as the assistant walks past -- then tries to hold it. Awkward awkward so awkward. At least Kumagawa was talkative. She could distract herself with someone talkative but this was just -- uncomfortable.]
There is someone that I am looking to find!

[The smile gets a blank stare back for the longest, most frightening of moments. The weight of being judged by someone who's seriously debating whether to kill someone or not. That someone is also you.
The answer seems to be a temporary pass.] If you're asking me to compromise someone, in any degree from tracking their movements to killing them, you'll need to fill out the paperwork first.
[London's Head Inquisitor, everybody.]

[She basically vomits the words out. Look look she stated her purpose she's perfectly harmless stop looking at her like that -]
... If I am required to go through your paperwork regardless, then I shall, of course!

Next time, please state if you're a friend of the family. I thought you were here for business.
[But she's not, and she's a friend of Sei, which means no murdering, which means that scary-as-hell feeling in the air disappears like nothing as he turns away to flip through papers.] I'm the one who pays for his apartment. I have the address around here.
[Somewhere.]

the one she. Doesn't believe in. Yes. Siiiighs, deep and relieved.]
-- "The family," Sir? Could you be his brother, perhaps?
no subject
[That immediately makes one wonder how old he really is. He doesn't answer that. Just continues shuffling through reports.]
no subject
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm]
... His father? Cousin, uncle, grandfather, legal guardian?
no subject
...Let's go with choices three and five.
no subject
Is he not an adult, for someone to have legal guardianship over him, Sir?

[If she has the eyes for it, the file he takes out and flips through belongs to Sei and has way too many pages to be about anything except his questionable antics. He turns a page to her after with the lease information.]
Write down the address. If anyone asks why you're there or tries to throw you out for your... condition. Say you're a church affiliate. They won't bother you again.
no subject
[But she writes the address down anyway.]</small.

[He waits until she finishes then snaps the file shut.]

Furthermore, never being a member of a church would not deny the statement of you being a church affiliate. Simply being one not seeking the outright demise of the Christians makes one an ally.
Any other theories?

[She is luckily smart enough to realize it's probably not the best idea to point out she's trying to cause the apocalypse.]
Is Mr Sei well? He was badly injured when last I saw him.
no subject
[That statement is a complete non sequitur, unless she applies it against her thoughts, in which case she can wince. He knows.]
And I have not seen Sei since my return. I've been in France for the past month. How did he maim himself this time?
[This time. And it's the tone of an irritated parent rather than an uncle or a guardian. Weird.]
no subject
[What. Well, this doesn't bode well, the last time she met someone who implied they knew what she was thinking --
... She made a friend. But only after he broke her neck. So?
... ??????????????????????]
He... erm.
It broke. Yes! I suppose that is the proper way to phrase his condition?
no subject
[At the very least, she made a possible-friend-thing????? that's not insane. Just capable of doing insane things while being entirely sane.
Worse or better, who knows.]

I dabble in the occult only on occasion, but it seems -- seemed -- to be some sort of seal on his power, as relates to his heritage and identity? Put in place by that Black Man, if you have some familiarity with him.
I am uncertain which category such an event falls under, but he did seem to be quite insane! It is, perhaps, a mental break as a result of a spiritual break?
no subject
[This is the face that means Sei is... what's the word. Hm.
Oh! Right!]
What an idiot.
no subject
He is quite rude, as well!
no subject
But he'll be fine. He'll figure out what he's doing.
[...]
Probably.

[Aww, how gentlemanly--]
If I had to kill you, it would be slow and torturous and I would destroy your very soul. So do me a favor and don't do anything that would make me have to do my job.
[...Okay, maybe he is ruder.]

[ummm]
What is your real job, Sir?
