[Obeying, she stretches out her leg. It's definitely comforting that despite being a bit of a pervert in her opinion, he's a professional. Then again between him and Izaya, it sounded like he'd only look at his girlfriend anyway. Either way, Ange is grateful for that.]
...You can just do it. It's not me being brave or anything like that. But I can endure it fine enough and take a painkiller later.
[Either because she's bad at social situations or just wants to explain, she continues.] Uhm, I've tended to get into bad situations where I end up in a lot of pain. So I guess it feels easier to say go for it.
[He steps away and returns with a bottle, tipping the contents into a measuring spoon and handing it to her. It will take a little to kick in, but that should be how long it takes to sterilize the wounds... That itself won't be pleasant either, of course.]
[He then goes back to the task at hand. If she takes the drug or not doesn't concern him. He begins methodically and thoroughly washing her wounds, using rubbing alcohol to thoroughly sterilize each cut. Not pleasant, but he's gentle as possible. It's not like he's a sadist. He's perfectly capable of a gentle bedside manner when called for.]
[She takes it because there's no reason not to, really. If anything, it's a little blessing, since it's not like she's a masochist despite her strange actions. So Ange sighs and watches him work instead, dealing with the little pains and waiting for the drug to kick in. Probably better not to interrupt him.
Still...at least one thing.] ...Thanks. Uhm, for this. I'll pay you and everything.
I know. We can arrange that after. Anyway, this is my job.
[He smiles gently as he works, but let sit fall as he concentrates. He's good at what he does though. The cuts on her side and arm are bandaged first, everything he does precise and skillful.]
You must have had quite a time tonight, Ange-chan.
[He finally settles on the wound on her leg. It's deep enough to need a few stitches but, not that bad compared to how it could be.] You're lucky though. This could have damaged your muscles here.
[Time to fetch the needle and a packet of sterilized medical thread.]
[She can't help a small smile. For as weird as he was/is, he's got a good bedside manner. Then again, maybe that's not surprising, since being cheerful seems to come naturally to him.]
Yeah, it was pretty unfair. I think the guy was just mad that I beat him last time and too drunk to really think about what he was doing. It didn't seem that bad but I'm not a doctor.
[She rubs at her shoulder a little.] Good thing I was lucky though... I rely a lot on my legs.
[Threading the needle and hooking a stool with his foot so he can start stitching. Very neat, tiny stitches.]
Even though it didn't get the muscle, you should be careful about tearing the stitches if you can. I'd like to say you aren't at risk for any infection, I do take pride in my skills, but you should keep an eye on this for the next few days all the same.
[She bites her lip but the pain killer is mostly in effect, so it doesn't really hurt as much as she was expecting. The anticipation is always worse anyway. But she nods and keeps herself still.]
I will. I won't do anything strenuous to make all this for nothing. ...Somehow I've managed not to need stitches before. I've always been pretty lucky.
[Actually thinking about it, it's always been mild bruising or, well, death. No inbetweens. Seeing something that is feels kind of strange.]
[Ange resists the urge to poke at it once he's done. She's not a kid. Or Lion.]
Black tea is my favourite. But whatever you have is all right.
[While he does that, she slips back into her shirt. Once it's buttoned, though, she just grabs her jacket. Maybe it seems like a small, meaningless gesture, but it means she actually feels comfortable around him.]
[He's quite cheerful. And while he may notice her relaxed lack of putting the coat right back on, he doesn't comment. His interest in humans just isn't there. Keenly observant is far different from keen on observing.]

[He finishes, cleans the excess blood, and binds the stitching to keep it sterile as well.]
[And standing to wash his hands again.]
You can get dressed. I'll see to the tea. Is there a kind you like?

Do you like milk and sugar, Ange-chan?
no subject
Both, please. Uhm, a little extra milk. You weren't busy or anything, right...?
[She really doesn't mind staying - he's pretty nice and kind of interesting - but if he was busy or anything...]
