[Today is a terrible day! You do not know why it's a terrible day, but it is. Everything's ominous and you've probably walked into ten tables and door frames and couldn't find your favorite coat and perhaps even got robbed by a hobo. Either way, your luck is terrible! Enjoy it! Or not. Because it'll get worse.

Meanwhile in Michi's residence, a corpse has disappeared. Corpses do not usually get up and wander away. This one did and is found standing in the middle of the street staring at nothing. It is almost as terrible as your day is, and you simultaneously run away and get closer.

Both of these are terrible ideas, but there is no correlation between them whatsoever. You're silly to think that way! Go enjoy your terrible day! However you wish to.

But no really, to anyone who comes over there is nothing but terrible here. And up to three bingo squares. Have fun guys.]

[He waits patiently with an eyebrow raised for the whole thing. For the fear and death and revival and bleeding and the voice and then he faintly smiles. Genuinely(?).

Then, because Liam is Equal now, he feels that spike of hatred come out and then a fist meets his face with the strength that no one would expect from someone that scrawny. It's like getting decked by a bus.]

Sadly, Liam just kicked what is pretty much a monster in a human's skin. There's an impact, there's the annoyance and hatred and anger of his being mirrored right back, and his leg is grabbed at the ankle with one hand, by the knee with the other.

And he's slammed to the ground, hands ripping away to take huge gashes out of his leg in the process, Achilles tendon severed and strips barely-attached hanging and it's the picture of something that is not going to be walking anytime soon.]

[To be fair, he's been rendered equal to someone who just does not die anyway, so this is already going in a really bad direction. Or good. Who knows with abominations.

Headbutt: connected. There's the step backwards of momentum and the sickening crack of a neck snapping backwards and bone against bone.

He immediately responds by decking him in the face and grinning like it's fucking psycho Christmas. Bring it, asshole.]

[He staggers back from being decked, but you know what's the problem with fighting a tiny irishman in London?

He is used to brawls. Which means he's leaping forward to tackle Kumagawa at the midsection to drag him to the ground and punch the shit out of him.]

[Just from the few hits they've exchanged, Liam can realize one thing about Kumagawa when he's serious - he never dodges. He's obviously capable of it, but he doesn't. Refuses to.

It means Liam's tackle is perfectly done, but that's about it. You're not the only one who's had the shit kicked out of you Liam. The momentum from hitting the ground means he rolls over, now the one on top, and smashes his head into Liam's face.

The cement probably cracked from that one.]

[And then the ground under Liam opens up into giant, shadowy jaws and chomps and oh, god, that's gonna give indigestion when Kumagawa gets out of it.

He'll take that moment to roll onto his feet to brace for the next attack, though.]

The hands rip clear through the shadow and for that brief second of movement they look like claws, and the overjoyed grin looks like a gash through reality, exposing something rotten from the other side.

For Liam's sake, he'd better keep rolling. Because a line of screws smash into the ground towards him. The fact they actually have done collateral damage means they're not bookmaker screws. They're Actually Can Kill People ones.

[Don't mind Liam he's just dived into a bar and is ...flinging molotov cocktails out at Kumagawa.

Liam, booze is not the solution to all of life's problems.]

[Bad idea, Liam.

He follows calmly with the ease of a predator on a hunt, not even caring when a few break too close. But one gets too too close, and he catches one of the bottles.

It gets thrown back in. Not at Liam. At the tables. And then he's gone in a flash of movement only to slam the door shut. So Liam is now trapped in a burning bar. A+.]

[This would be a problem if he wasn't already halfway out a window and into the river when Kumagawa caught it.

The river is a filthy, disgusting place full of ickybads which he newly sees way too fucking clearly--and from the surface, a wave rises.

A wave of screws.

It doesn't care who it hits.]

[Sucks for the collateral damage budget. It also sucks for everyone except the monster chasing him, because he must've forgotten who uses those screws. It's a wall, but there's always spaces. Flesh and bits of clothing are torn asunder, but it doesn't stop that black wraith, bright white slash still visible, and through the screw still driven through Liam's heart, everything is an acidic rage, but tinted with joy.

It's an odd sensation and it comes with a wave of further hatred for even feeling joy with it, and it's just enough of a distraction that means he gets shoulder-checked by a void in the universe with all the force of one, and both end up in the river.]
