ON A BEACH

[in the course of the vacation of awesome, Ange and Kida get to hang out on a beach, because that is the fun thing to do when you get a chance. They found a more remote section of the beach, away from Zelos' groupies and random French people. Since Victorian bathing suits are pretty lame, Kida just opted to go swimming in boxers. They're just as good as swim trunks anyway. More importantly, if he's in his underwear Ange has to be in hers, too.

They also may have been able to snag a bottle of wine off the ship before coming to the beach. Kida had been out in the water, and made his way back to the blanket they had set up and sprawls out on it, laying flat on his stomach. He grabs a towel and puts it on top of his head, his head is down and pressed against the blanket]

[Ange doesn't mind the swimsuit issue since it's just them. Though being outside in just this is still a little embarrassing and she keeps alternating between wrapping a towel around herself anyway and just hiding in the water. Possibly due to some wine and time, Ange feels more comfortable at this point, enough to forego the towel.

Also she might be distracted feeding seagulls. One in particular has been cutely stalking her long after the others gave up trying to snag more bread. Ange tosses it another piece but it snaps for it too early and the bread hits Kida's head. Said seagull is quick to snap it off the towel, though, and hop back to Ange. She tries not to laugh.]

Ah, sorry about that, Masaomi.

[obedient]

[Kida flailed a little at the seagull, his head still under the towel]

Remind me to become a seagull in our next lives so that I can have sexy girls feeding me, too.

[his hand blindly reaches out for Ange's ankle]

[He catches it and Ange crouches down beside him, smiling a little.]

I just like seagulls. I don't think most girls do, though. They steal all your things you leave on the beach.

This one even steals cute girls.

[he keeps a hold of her ankle, and looks up from under the towel, but still doesn't move more than that]

I'm pretty tempted to hide somewhere so the boat will leave without us, then we can stay in this warm kind of vacation spot forever.

[equipoises]

[She smiles and reaches down under the towel to mess with his hair.]

The weather is a lot nicer, huh? I wouldn't mind living somewhere like this when it's sunny and warm all the time.

[obedient]

[he rubs circles with his thumb along her leg]

We could stay here if we really wanted to, no one could really stop us.

[because it is nice here, and he's happy, and he's even able to forget about all the sucky things for now]

That's the bad thing about vacations, you never want to go home.

[equipoises]

[She nods her head back towards where they came from.]

I think we'd have some tagalongs if we stayed. [She is pretty sure Zelos at the least wouldn't mind not going back.] We could always bring a seashell with us, though. You know, the ones you can hear the ocean in?

[obedient]

That wouldn't be so bad. He'd be sure to have a harem of girls around to keep Mairu-chan entertained. [he finally rolls over so he's laying on his back and looking up at Ange] Have you found any like that?

[equipoises]

[She smiles down at him, even if she shakes her head.] Not yet. Kind of worried I'll hold one up and get some weird monster in my ear.

[Actually she's not but it seemed like a fun joke.]

[he does genuinely laugh at that, because he thought it was pretty funny]

Don't worry, the great Kida Masaomi will protect you from all strange shell creatures.

[equipoises]

[Flicking a strand of his hair.]

You only want to look cool in front of me.

[obedient]

Is it working?

Only a little bit. You have to try harder next time.

[obedient]

You're so strict sometimes. [Kida reaches out to try to pull Ange down, when her seagull from earlier squawks and tries to get Ange's attention]

[She laughs, even as she lets Kida pull her down. Ange holds out a hand to the seagull with some bread in it to soothe it. Not even caring if it's embarrassing, she coos softly to it.]

If I wasn't strict, you might not be as cool as you can be.
