'Church affiliate', to the people who would raise issues with you, means you're affiliated with me. It's a code word to make my spies keep out of your business.

Furthermore, never being a member of a church would not deny the statement of you being a church affiliate. Simply being one not seeking the outright demise of the Christians makes one an ally.
