It's the roses that really took some doing.
[She sounds a little proud and exasperated as she points at the blooms around them.] You know, like Alice in Wonderland? Painting them red was a lot harder than in the book!
[And as if it's always been that way, the roses are red and instead of bees around them, flies buzz.]
Getting the right red was horribly hard. But George finally figured it out. Battler was the best match. There was some left over, if you wanted?
[She pushes forward a covered dish, removes the lid to reveal Battler's head and heart in a decorative display. The white dog stands, placing his paws on the table, and sniffs at it, suddenly taking the heart in his big jaws and bounding off with it.]
